The project was launched in November 2010 in selected 13 districts of Bihar covering a population of 43.40 million. The project ended in June 2018, where WHP created a network of heath entrepreneurs (Sky Network)-10,663. These providers were trained on symptomatic management of childhood illnesses and early identification of presumptive TB cases and referrals to public sector for initiation of treatment. Beyond the core network, the project also engaged 400 qualified doctors, all of whom the project trained on program guidelines and Standards for TB Care in India (STCI) guidelines through Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions. These networked providers reported and treated 2,465,254 cases of childhood diarrhea; 2,112,024 cases of childhood pneumonia; 38,998 new TB patients were put on drugs and 23,821 TB patients reported completion of treatment; 8,470,284 tablets of Amoxicillin, 3,386,356 sachets of ORS, and 42,975,171 tablets of Zinc distributed and 113,192 tele-consultations (using audio video) provided to rural patients in Bihar.
