THE LATIKA FUND

The Latika Fund has been set up in the memory of Latika Lawanyamayee, who worked for Janani, a Bihar-based NGO, for eleven years, and whose contribution to the cause of family planning and women’s reproductive health was immense.

Latika was to have joined World Health Partners as a manager. Sadly, she died in June 2008, in Ranchi, at the age of 33, while giving birth to her first child.

The Latika Fund has been set up to provide support to desperately poor women in rural India who lack access to prenatal and antenatal care, family planning facilities, and reproductive health services. The money will be raised from Indian sources and will be spent on providing medical assistance to women in dire need of health care, particularly reproductive health care.

If you would like to contribute to the Latika Fund, please contact World Health Partners at donate@worldhealthpartners.org

Contributions are exempt from tax under Section 80G of the Government of India Income Tax Act, 1961.
